Location: Bradford, Leeds, Kirklees, Oldham, Calderdale, Keighley and locally surrounding areas
Salary: £7.50 - £9.48 per hour (weekday rate) £8.50 - £13.00 (night rate)
Type: Sessional / Regular / Flexible

Description

The role of a Personal Assistant (PA) can vary enormously. Essentially the role is determined by the needs of the service users and the outcomes they want to achieve with your help. All service users are unique and have needs which are personal to them and their circumstances. Personal Assistants will support service users to live their life how they want to live it and will do so in an enabling and supportive way. Sometimes this can require an element of personal care but not always. Service users include families with children, older people, people with disabilities or mental health support needs or people with other identified health or social care needs. Support could include helping service users to get out and about, domestic tasks, living independently, feeding, personal care and other needs that have been assessed as outcomes that need to be achieved with the help of a Personal Assistant.

Personal Assistants may be identified and employed directly by service users or alternative Ethical Care Resources can recruit, train and employ Personal Assistants on behalf of service users.

Qualifications: Previous experience within a similar background is preferred. Driver’s License and own transport is desirable but not essential.
