Our Core Services
Ethical Care Resources is extremley flexible in the way we can be commissioned and in the way in which we provide our services. Many people referred to us have been assessed by their council but we also receive request for services directly from service users, their carers or their families. To find out who can refer please click here. We can deliver a care or support package based on an assessment provided to us or we can assist with completing an assessment and creating support or care plans. Some of the ways our services are provided are as follows:
Self Directed Support
Ethical Care’s Self-Directed Support Service will provide you with the information, advice and guidance you need so that you can get the best out of your life and retaining choice and control. This done by using the money you receive in the form of Direct Payments, Personal Budgets or Individual Budgets and agreeing with you what support and care you need and how you wish to receive it. We will then provide you the information you need to make informed decisions such as the care or support providers who would be able to provide you with a service. This is known as Brokering Services.
Support Planning and Brokering Services
Ethical Care will work with you to create your own individual Support Plan to meet your own care and support needs. We will talk with you and the people who you want to be involved, perhaps a family member, and discuss how you want to live your life e.g. what you like, what you dislike and how you want to be supported. We will also look at what activities you may be interested in, in your local area.
Once your plan is agreed and you begin receiving the support or care you need, we will ensure that we monitor your service to make sure you are happy with the arrangements. It is also important that your services are reviewed regularly which Ethical Care will do as part of brokering services for you.
Payroll Service
Ethical Care Resources is able to help you if you to employ your own staff and ensure they are paid correctly. Many people who receive Direct Payments, Personal Budgets or Individual Budgets choose to employ a Personal Assistant to provide them with the support they need. As an employer, you are responsible for ensuring that staff are paid on time and that tax and National Insurance is deducted where applicable. This is known as payroll and is a very important part of managing the money you receive to pay for your support and care needs.
If you would like support to manage the payroll, our Payroll Support Team can offer peace of mind with your payroll. We offer practical help and advice to help people pay their Personal Assistant's wage bills and take away the worry of calculating their tax and National Insurance. We also offer Managed Accounts (also called Third Party Payroll or Client Holding Accounts) to people who would like Ethical Care Resources to manage their finances on their behalf.
